Why should your group join us?
What is Preston Community Network?
Preston Community Network is an association of around 180 local voluntary and community organisations who want to influence the decisions which affect our local community and help shape the future of Preston.
Why become a member?
Our members range from large charities to small community groups - what they have in common is that they want to improve local services by ensuring their service-users or local community can influence planning, delivery and local development.
The new Localism Act is giving local communities new rights and powers. By working together, we in the Community Network want to make the most of these opportunities for greater involvement of communities in the decisions which affect their lives.
Community Network members come together to discusss local issues, develop common objectives for our sector and appoint representatives at all levels of Preston Strategic Partnerships (and other partnerships) to influence service planning and delivery.
