Who''s Who at the Network
Meet the Network Staff:
Julie Humphrey - Network Co-ordinator (P/T) Julie's role is to ensure that the aims and objectives of the Community Network are achieved, and to build the longer-term sustainability of the organisation. She is responsible for the development and delivery of the annual Delivery Plan and the co-ordination, monitoring and evaluation of the various Network projects.
Julie is also responsible for developing new projects and identifying funding which will help the organisation to continue to fulfil its mission to ensure that the local voluntary and community sector has a strong and effective voice in planning and delivering local services. She is responsible for ensuring that the Network is truly representative of, and accountable to, all sections of the local community.
Julie is also responsible for staff management and support and external relations and communications, particularly with Preston Strategic Partnership and the Lancashire Partnership.
She represents the four Lancashire Community Empowerment Networks (on the Safer and Stronger Communities Working Group of the Local Area Agreement)
Waheda Ahmed - Representatives and Groups Support Officer (P/T) Waheda's role is to identify suitable representatives from our membership base for the PSP & other partnerships and manage and support them and build upon, maintain and refresh, Community Network membership, including ensuring diversity, so that membership reflects our local community
Sean Sweeney - Neighbourhood Management Support Officer (F/T) Sean works closely with the managers and staff of the four Neighbourhood Management (NM) schemes to devise structures for the sustainability of NM in Preston and to ensure:
(i) The communities of Preston have opportunities for involvement at all levels of NM schemes, and;
(ii) Community and service provider representatives have access to training and support mechanisms, which enable them to fully understand the NM approach and their ability to contribute and fulfil their roles in neighbourhood management
