Community Cohesion - One City Many Voices
Our diverse membership includes groups representing BME communities, young people, older people, people with disabilities, deprived communities – all sections of our local community working together to bring people together and improve life in Preston for everyone.
The Community Network has run a number of innovative projects to promote equality, diversity and community cohesion including training, social events which bring different communities together, networking, equality and diversity training and visits to local places of worship to give participants first-hand knowledge of the various faiths of the people who make up our local community .
We worked closely with Preston Strategic Partnership in developing and implementing its Community Cohesion Strategy and Action Plan and we contribute to the work of the PSP People and Communities group.
